There's no strength member or twine inside to fill space between conductors to keep the outer jacket round and add strength, leaving the cable squishy feeling and oval shaped in spots. I'm also worried about lack of tensile strength in event of cable getting pulled or snagged with moderate force, and how it will work with conduit cable clamps. I would have preferred to have a cable with traditional construction that I'm used to working with, as I'm worried about how well this cable will hold up to use over time.

The internal filler is made of a shredded paper like material and doesn't fill the internal parts of the cable completely, making it "mushy" or flimsy compared to "normal" cables.As I was installing it today I came upon an area of one of the conductors that had a repair in it, it was just wrapped around and covered with two layers of shrink tubing, not crimped or anything.This is a high voltage, high current, carrying cable so a makeshift repair like that makes me leary of its quality.I would not recommend this cable.

Have purchased this brand of SOOW wire multiple times in different sizes and gauges. Wire has worked well, it is easy to terminate and work with. Jacket is durable and easy to flex. I have had some exposed to sun/weather for several years and jacket shows no UV degradation. Will purchase again.

Seems to be a very high-quality cable. I'm using this as an extension cable for running welders and plasma cutters outdoors, and this cable has been able to survive what I've thrown at it for the past few weeks with just some scuffs. If I need to buy a SOOW cable again, it'll be from GEARit.

Length is or is very close to 50ft, thick rubber outter layer, copper wire seems ok, I have seen worse and better , but all in all is as advertised, probably wish I just would’ve gone nm-b but it is honestly fine and all the planing worked out. if you need to run thru a header 1-3/8” & 1-1/4” knockout, may could squeeze 1” knockout would be tight. Be advised at 230v this has 35amp rating :(

Finally got around to running the power from my generator to a main panel in my food trailer build, months after I purchased this SOO cable. I ordered a 25ft length of 6-4 but what I received was a length just less than 14ft. Very disappointed to say the least. The return window has closed long ago. So not only was this unusable because the length was much too short to run the distance to my panel but I overpaid because a 13ft length was much less expensive with another supplier. I paid for a 25ft length. I could not recommend this company for the purchase of SOO cable. The quality of the product is exceptional. Very thick rubber insulation on the outside jacket and the individual wire insulation is perfect and the wires are correctly size at 6 guage. 100% quality and well made. I wish I would have taken the saran wrap off the coil earlier and measured the wire. That was a failure on my part, but there is no excuse for providing about 1/2 the cord length a customer paid for.

Great buy. Cheaper price per foot than big box stores. Came as expected. Comes in various lengths. I chose 50ft. Make sure you are buying what you need. I got 4/6g 4 wire 6 gauge which is common for 50amp. It comes in different wire varieties for the electrical project you are into.

They should put the diameter of the wire in the specs. It's about 18 mm for the 10/4 power cable.

It's NOT 10/3 gauge, like the picture advertises, so...buyer be aware.It's 12/3 gauge
