Purchased a used caravan, and the tongue was heavy with 2 large propane bottles and the battery. The battery needed replaced so I ended up buying a much larger battery, and I decided that a rear mount would be better. These wires worked perfect for this job.
I accidentally bought this CCA a couple years ago, but didn't use it because I wanted pure copper. I recently tried to use it and wetting this cable with solder was impossible. The solder just beads up and drips off. I tried multiple types of solder, with and without flux, but no luck. Then I tried wetting some other copper wire and had no problems. If you need to solder something look elsewhere.

If I wanted to use aluminum Copper coated I would’ve ordered that this will never take the amperage. It will burn up big fire hazard.
Maybe its just me but I ordered this wire in what it said was " black". As you can see in the picture it looks brown to me. Am I color blind? Anyway I ran it as a ground for my amp thats why I wanted it in black. Other than that it's good solid wire, no other complaints.I took the picture of packaging and you can see on there where it shows it as black. Oh well

Very disappointing marketed as 8 awg but more like 10awg maybe even 12awg. There is more insulation than wire. I have used many different 8 awg but being faster shipping I tried Amazon brands and disappointed in quality and sizing. Don’t waste your money and time if needing correct awg.

It's more or less exactly what it says it is - 10 feet of 8-gauge copper-clad aluminum wire. It's very flexible, and the insulation strips off easily. Oddly enough, it's almost the exact same color, weight, and texture of red ropes licorice, so that's fun.
This wire is as advertised and came according to the specifications. Note that this is CCA (copper clad aluminum) and not OFC (oxygen free copper), but should be suitable for most purposes at a lower cost. The wire is very flexible, but will resort to some of the original packaging coil shape without some help or fully bending it. Since it's so flexible, the packaging coil is quite small compared to most wire coils I've seen.
This wire is 8AWG copper clad aluminum stranded wire that is 10 feet long. The strands are very fine, and the insulation is very flexible, so the wire can bend quite easily. The insulation is thick, and it has a good resistance to abrasion. While stripping the wire, I definitely had 10-15 strands that were unavoidably cut off with the insulation, so it might loose a little conductivity from that. Again, it is aluminum wire at the core, and you can see that when you look at the ends of the strands. But overall, I think that this is nice wire, easy to work with. Great value for the price!
This is the perfect wire for high power speakers or for routing high current power. The braided wire is very pliable and is easy to route into tight crevices such as under the hood of a vehicle. The insulation strips off easily and the braided copper clad takes solder and crimp terminals very well. The PVC insulation should hold up well to temperature and environmental conditions for a long time. The see though insulation makes it visual appealing too. Very happy with this wire.
It's really nice and flexible, though keep in mind that the sheathing is really soft so it's hard to cut and strip, especially with automatic strippers. Otherwise great wire, used it to install a 400 watt amp and it works a charm.
The product is fine but compare this with any reputable wire brand and it will. Come up short. Guage is far enough off to where a 10 ton hex crimp on 3 different 8ga ring terminals left it loose enough to fall off.In the image, you can see the crimp is perfect however the wire isn't even being touched. I compared it to sky high, knukonceptz and another cheap brand Sound cube. All 8 awg of other brands (sound cube isnt awg it's international standard) were quiet a bit larger in diameter.
It’ll function. Thought I’d ordered tinned copper but that’s my fault. Thing to note, ordered black. Cable is not black, it’s brown.
