Solid or Stranded Copper
Copper conductors deliver reliable conductivity for higher-load branch circuits, feeders, equipment and workshop wiring. Choose solid copper for firm terminations on fixed runs, or stranded copper for easier pulls through conduit with bends.
90°C Rated, PVC & Nylon Jacket
PVC insulation with a tough nylon outer jacket helps resist heat, moisture, oil, gasoline and abrasion, rated up to 90°C for demanding conduit and raceway installations.
Residential & Commercial Wiring
Built for electricians and DIYers alike: 10 AWG THHN for higher-load branch circuits, feeders, equipment and workshop wiring in residential and commercial conduit runs. Verify local electrical code before installation.
Choose solid or stranded copper in black, red, white, green or yellow for easy circuit identification, in 50, 100, 150 and 200 ft spools. Also available in 10, 12 and 14 AWG.
600V-rated single-conductor THHN building wire for approved conduit and raceway systems, branch circuits, feeders and panels.
Says solid on reel but it is stranded wire. Thankfully color was more important & that was correct.
We ordered several spools of solid 10AWG. We received spools that were stamped solid but the wire was definitively stranded. We submitted an exchange and then received another 3 spools of stranded. GearIT was not helpful, no returned call and message was basically to talk to Amazon.
I ordered solid wire, but like many others it came as stranded despite the packaging saying it was solid. Also, the sheath seemed to be lower quality. I couldn’t find anywhere if it was UV stable.
The wire I received was not solid wire. It was stranded wire. I had to send it back as it would not suit my needs.
It was advertised and even mislabeled as solid wire. However, what is on the reel is stranded wire.
I ordered 100' each of Red, Green, and Black. Only the Red arrived on a spool as shown in pictures. The Black and Green were both rolled up and tied (which often indicate that they were pulled off a larger spool!). Not being on a spool makes it very difficult to pull through a conduit. The wire itself seems to be good quality although rather hard to strip!
Seems good
Wire is wire, right? Well no. This is EXTREMELY difficult to strip the insulation off.
BEWARE! I did not read the reviews of this product because I did not feel the need to; it's just wire right? Wrong! The price is good for copper wire but all three 150' spools were STRANDED not solid wire. I will use it anyway but stranded carries marginally less current due to air gaps in the strands than a solid conductor. Apparently other customers had the same issue with a mix of solid and stranded in their shipments. This isn't really Amazon's fault as the manufacturer lables the spools as "SOLID".
Excellent deal great quality and arrived on time
Good value. Excellent delivery time.
Ordered two reels of 200ft black and red solid 10 gauge. Black solid was good, but red came as stranded and I did not notice until I cut it. Not a big deal for my application but the red reel was also easy 15-20 ft short compared to the black which I was not happy about as I had to work around that. Will avoid this brand as they do not seem to have good QC and may short you. Seems like sending the wrong type has happened to a lot of people.
Not solid wire despite both the product page and the label itself claiming so. This is stranded, and is not wet rated despite, there being evidence of the solid wire in one of the pictures being THWN stamped. Useless for outdoor/conduit application.
It is very hard to strip this wire and it shouldn’t be. Its resistance per foot is not within NEC spec for 10AWG wire—it’s far above; so I suspect the quality of copper they’re using isn’t what they claim. It’s very flexible and had no problems pulling it through 200’ of underground conduit. I personally wouldn’t buy this brand of wire again, just on the fact that it ohmed-out at twice what it was supposed to for the spool length and gauge of wire, and the sheathing is difficult to strip.
This wire work well for my application. Would have been helpful if it was on a spool
Perfect! Exactly as described. I can't find this item at the local big box stores. I guess it's not a commonly used product, but was exactly what I needed.
Great product and value
Good wire. Quality insulation. Well labeled. Pulls easily.
it;s ok
Don't buy this. It's not solid wire.
Just what I ordered in white and ordered one red solid and got stranded instead
Good wire
This is just speaker wire. It can not be used in wiring for a house.
Used for pool and heater. No complaints
Used to run electric to pool and heater. Worked well, no complaints.
Great price, fast delivery and really good product
