EtherCON compatible connectors for digital audio, analog audio and DMX control of stage lights, fog machines and effects.
Shielded RJ45 EtherCON Connectors
Meets the CAT6 standard specification for light-speed data transfer up to 10 Gbps, making this networking cable digital audio standards like Dante and DMX signals that control hundreds of stage lights at once.
with GearIT extender
This Ethernet cable carries up to 4 DMX or XLR audio signals over a shielded, balanced connection. This setup is ideal for linking stage lights and audio equipment up to 10 feet across stages, DJ booths and studios.
Quality construction features oxygen-free copper wire and aluminum shielding. It guarantees a protected, balanced connection, suitable for high-pressure studio environments and live situations with no margin for error.
Made with premium materials for professional recording studios, DJs, live stages, touring bands and music venues.
It works OK. It is as advertised, although there is a misleading picture showing stranded conductors on the product page. The conductors appear to be all copper and not CCA at least, but they are solid. It is a bit stiff probably because of this. The shield comes soldered to the shield connector - good. There is an inner sheath and a more flexible outer sheath protecting the cable - also good. I might buy it again unless I can find a similar stranded product.
El cable me llegó dañado y no funciona y nadien responde por la garantía me comuniqué con él el soporte y no me dieron respuesta
Review for GearIT CAT6 ethernet cable, 3':This cable has a nice appearance, and the jacket feels nice & soft. It tests fine, both for continuity and real-life interconnect. The Ethercon-compatible shells mate smoothly with Neutrik Ethercons, and have good finish. I removed a shell to look at the RJ45 wiring: it's nicely done, and the shield wire is soldered to the metal RJ45 shell instead of being crimped in place. (That's a big plus, since the crimp connections can easily fail or tarnish.)I measure the outer diameter at .323"-- pretty large, due to the cable construction mentioned below. The flaw with this cable is common to a wide range of 'ruggedized' CAT cables on the market right now: If you look at the picture, you can see a grey jacket underneath the blue outer jacket: the cable is actually an install-grade cable with a soft rubber overlay, instead of being constructed from the ground up for entertainment/portable use. The internal install-grade jacket is designed to be rugged & abrasion-resistant, which sounds good: but install-grade cable is not designed to be flexible. The result is that despite the soft rubbery feel of the outer blue jacket, the cable is stiff, and won't lay flat after being coiled. To be clear, I've seen this same construction method used on a range of 'Tour-Grade' cables from other suppliers: it's Tour-grade in appearance, but not Tour-Grade in handling. My rating is based on excellent parts quality, and assembly. GearIt deserves good marks for this. The one-star deduction is because of the overlay process used in the jacket.
My Line6 Variax digital guitars and Line6 Helix pedal connect together by EtherCON cable. I've had challenges with other cables not being durable, needing regular replacement. This cable is well made and should last a long time. What I like…- Solid EtherCON connectors. (See pic)- Shielded cable.- Durable outer covering.- I like the blue color.- Good value, compared to similar cables.Shortcomings…- It's a bit less flexible than I'd prefer for my application, but a worthwhile trade-off for durability. The package included the assembled cable. (See pic) No use or care guide was included.I hope this information was helpful.---This review is for:GearIT CAT6 Ethernet Cable, EtherCON-Compatible (100 Feet) RJ45 Connectors for Pro Audio, Aluminum Shielded, Oxygen Free Copper - 20 ft. - Blue
Did a test with its counterpart analog audio over ethernet boxes. All sounded fine. Have not used it during the job yet, so the jury is still out. But I was able to re-wind the cable after having it lay in the sun to soften the cable with no big issues. That’s always a good sign
Nice hefty cable with solid connectors. The jacket on this cable is THICK but still flexible enough to coil neatly, the connectors are well-assembled, and it has worked well with any ethercon device I've connected it with.
Have bought these more than once and was pleased with the performance until this year. One of the main components of this cable is having it shielded and on more than one od these that were recently purchased the shield was not soldered or crimped into the connector at either end, rendering the cable almost useless. If you’re using these for analog over cat connections that need phantom power to pass through the shield be sure to check them as soon as they arrive.
Lots of issues with this cable. It will work and then it won't. Thought maybe it was my stage box but used a different cable on it and no more issues. The GEARit cable will work for a maybe 6 hours but then it will stop working. I can sometimes move it around a bit, and the signal will come back but then it will drop again after a while... Just buy a better cable than this. Not worth the small price difference.
Had to immediately put new ends on the cable.
Well mad cable that does the job. Nice connectors on each end.
Very good construction and very durable
The black painted shields are non conductive and therefore cannot perform the connection between my Behringer Wing Rack and my Behringer SD16 stage box, and so useless…
Sturdy, clean sound. Until you move the cable, then hideous crackling occurs. Happened on multiple cables from 25ft to 150ft
It’s a good cable. I wish the outside rubber was more flexible.
Great quality and affordable price
Very well made jacket. seems very durable. good color. did not speed test.
I bought this to use with a digital console and stage box it worked well on 2 different events but on the 3rd one completely dead ( I tested in with a cable tester.)...I tried to contact the company to find out about a possible warranty on a clearly defective cable with no response ...save our money
Good quality works great for digital mixers and stage boxes.
Product is great and meets all expectations.
Pair 3-6 were showing open, if i hadn't had a crimper I would have had to return. otherwise quality seems ok
I use Cat6 cables for live events. They need to be rugged and made correctly. I have been using Rat/Sound Tools-made cables. A starving musician friend needed such a cable for his rack. I bought him this brand as a gift. He travels to a lot of venues and can be rough on his gear. After about 9 months of gigging this cable is still working perfectly. No drop-outs or weird stuff. I'd say go for it. The cables are priced in a nice spot and they have worked for my friend.
Purchased for a Behringer X-32 mixer. It worked fine at home, even after unrolling and re-rolling it. Then didn't work on the gig. Passed continuity check on all conductors.
Excelente producto tal cuala l descripcion
This cable dies after a few uses. Don’t waste your money on this. I got a replacement after the first one died and the same happened to the second. It didn’t last one WEEK of use.
Heavy Duty and Always Reliable! For the price these cable are unbeatable!
this is a good product I would recommend buying this to anyone good durability
PRODUTO DE ALTA QUALIDADE. ATENDEU E SURPREENDEU AS EXPECTATIVAS. COMPRARIA NOVAMENTE.
