GEARit Cat6 Patch Cables 1 Foot Cat 6 Ethernet Cable 1-Pack Blue

Great replacement for WiFi. This works by plugging one end into a computer or game console and the other end into a modem or router, or I guess you could put it just between computers or routers or anything really that has a plug for this, and then you get the internet without having to know the WiFi password. The length is not as long as WiFi but the value of not needing to connect to the network adds a great quality to life, a much better value for money than buying a whole internet subscription when you can just get this and plug into a router absolutely anywhere you go.

Edit: Do not plug this into your devices!!!! The latch to disengage the cable from a plug is covered by very hard plastic. I’m pretty strong and pressing down literally breaking the plastic still did not let me free it from the device. I had to get a credit card and wedge it between the device and the connector to finally free it. I’ve since taken toenail clippers to the plastic and completely removed it, the cables great now. However, this is completely inexcusable and I have no idea how a design like this made it past testing. This needs to be addressed before being sold as some people may not be able to free this from a device— Original ReviewI’m using this for a gigabit 8 port switch feeding the traffic from my router to eight devices behind the switch. I’ve had zero connectivity issues so far, the size was preferable to a 3’ cable the extra 2’ allowed me to not pull it so tightly from the wall to my switch. Cable thickness is middle of the road allowing for a decent amount of flexibility for standard routing. If you’re wanting to do very tight angles I’d go with a flat cable over a round cable though. Overall, for a network patch cable this is a solid choice. I’m able to get Cat6 speeds, cater to the throughput of 8 home servers, and pleased with the product for the price.

This is your average, every day, CAT-6 cable right here.I have purchased CAT-6A from GearIT, and it appears that they used the same cable jacket for both of these two products. The end result is that you have a bunch of wire in this CAT-6 that is just floating around inside of the jacket. It is kind of sloppy. I've owned a ton of RJ-45 over the years, and I know that they could do better than this.It probably pushes out the proper guaranteed bandwidth without any latency, yes, but it just doesn't feel right because they tried to combine two different products here.The modular plug is a good one, and has a good crimp and flexibility. I bet this works just great. I just feels a bit sloppy, tbh.The GearIT 6A is a better product, that does not cost much more.

Like my partner says, 'that's one chatty catty'. Translation: Excellent transmissions speeds.Great length in 14' for most applications. Good shielding and one of the best no snag clip designs I've seen, giving a very secure connection that won't snag the clip and break it off. There is really nothing to dislike about it. It just works and seems like it will last. Nice quality all around.Aside from testing LAN speeds for my work, this will also double as my CAT cable for my camper when I'm doing astrophotography. I run a small acquisition computer to track the stars and capture the images (or video) and I need a very secure and fast connection. This cable provides that and doesn't break the bank. Recommended!

I needed a new patch cable so I could relocate our cell receiver. This is a great patch cable with a nice soft jacket that doesn't coil up. This isn't a piece of box wire with hand crimped ends. This is a made to fit patch cord with clip protectors and gold contacts. All it needs is a little Velcro strap to tie it down and it's ready to blast 10 GIGABITS! Would make a great switch to switch cable or in my case, the main line for my ISP. I consistently pull 300mbps and push 18. That has more to do with my ISP than this cable, but it just proves there is no bottle neck with this copper. It would take T1 fiber to load this to its max. Highly Recommended!

Long runs of Ethernet are usually cut to fit the job. If you know a 100' won't be too short or way to long, getting a cable with the connectors factory installed can make the job easier.You'll already know if having at least one end connected suits your plans - you can always cut and crimp the other end if you have the tools.I tested both connectors (pic with all green lights); and I wire-mapped the ends to make sure they match (the vid).Whenever I can, I opt for pre-installed connectors - mostly just to save time or not having to fiddle with sequencing, crimping and testing in a less-than-optimal position or environment.Yes, you can save money with a spool and crimping; but time is money, too.

I've used some other GearIT cables and have been very impressed. They have some Cat6a cables that have some fantastic shielding. This Cat6 cable, however, is not nearly as good... I would pass in the future.The disappointments:1. There is no shielding in this patch cable.2. The wire seems pretty thin3. The outer casing is pretty stiff, and that's not necessarily bad, but it is NOT uniform. One side is thinner than the other.4. The cable ends are ok, nothing too impressive.On the positive side, it works, and it's a long length at a decent price. Compared to what else is available on the market, I just don't think this is a good value. At the same price point, you can get other 75ft cables that have much better shielding and a higher rating.

As someone who had never used an Ethernet cable before, I'm really happy with this purchase! I bought it because my Wi-Fi was giving me so many problems. My games were lagging, YouTube videos kept freezing, and sometimes I could barely use my laptop because of the connection issues.After connecting this Ethernet cable, the difference was huge! My internet feels so much faster and more reliable now. I can finally enjoy gaming without constantly worrying about lag or high ping. It also helped me realize that many of my previous problems were caused by my internet connection and not my laptop.I even ran an internet speed test to compare the results.Before Ethernet: 23.08 Mbps download, 15.02 Mbps upload, 4 ms ping.With Ethernet: 877.29 Mbps download, 523.84 Mbps upload, 4 ms ping.I didn't know much about these numbers before, but after looking them up, I realized how big the improvement was! The cable itself has worked great for me so far, and I'm glad I bought it. If you're struggling with unreliable Wi-Fi and have the option to connect through Ethernet, I definitely recommend giving it a try!

GEARit came highly recommended, so I used their ethernet cables for my entire PoE setup. Which is eight cameras strong, and I'm trusting their cables with my very expensive, commercial grade IP cams. And so far so good. I've invested in GEARit's 100ft foot spools of 23 AWG pure copper cables, 75 ft spools and even a 50ft spool. They all worked tremendously well, very durable, well made, reliable and dependent. They provide a crisp, clear and detailed picture and video on my IPS 4k monitor.A couple weeks in so far, and no issues at all, I'll keep you posted.

Little too stiff to unplug

Work great out of the box, have a high quality feel, ends are sturdy. I like them.

Arrived the next day. Quality product! Was skeptical because the price was very low for a 25 foot cord. I thought maybe it was a typo and I would receive a 2.5 foot cord. Very satisfied.

It's ok, a bit fragile, I've had to wrap it with electric tape because it popped up around the door and the casing broke open. The speed is ok, I sometimes it get up to 156+ and then there are times it drops to 90 not as good as it should be, my old cable was better, it gets speeds to 170 to 180s but it's was so long I could wrap around the room in my new house twice. I haven't found any cables that give me speed of my old cat 6 so I guess I'll wrap it back around the room.

It does the job well.
