This is my first Portable Bluetooth Speaker, and I didn't really know what to expect. First thoughts upon opening the box. Well packed, foam padding, USB-C charging cable, a audio cable with 3.5mm male plugs on each end, User instruction sheet and a small card with a QR code, requesting the buyer do a review of the product. Nice, heavy feeling. Rubberized texture for easy grip and won't slide it's set on a surface that is not quite level. Good size, not too small and not too big, perfect for carrying around. Has an nice, wide, nylon web type of handle on one side. Controls are on the top, a little hard to see at first. If they were highlighted in white would be perfect, easy to see and find. Pop open the rubber cover on the side opposite the Nylon handle, you'll find a standard USB-A port, a USB-C port for charging the unit, a 3.5mm aux input port and a MircoSD slot.The portable Bluetooth speaker has all of the control buttons on top. From left to right, Power button, Switch Mode button with an indicator LED above (BT/USB/MicroSD Card/Aux), a - Volume/Pervious track button, Play/Pause button, + Volume/Next Track button, EQ button and the Bluetooth/TWS button.There are four (4) LED lights above the Power and Mode buttons, these are use to show the state of charge of the internal battery. Mine came with three (3) LEDs lit, indicating about a 75% charge. Plugging in the included USB-C cable to the speaker and charging block, it took about 15 minutes to a fully charged state. While charging, one or more of the LEDs will be blinking, when fully charged, all four (4) LEDs will glow steady.The Best Part: Pairing, so easy, first turn on the Bluetooth speaker, turn on Bluetooth on your device, press the BT button on the speaker, click Scan on your mobile device, click on GEARit from the list of Found Devices and you're in business.The sound is great, crisp and clear. I was surprised. I tried both the EQ modes, one, the indicator LED is a light Blue (more bass) and the other is a darker Blue (less bass). I tend to favor the more bass mode, as long you don't crank the volume up too high. Nice thing I noticed, when I have the GearIT Bluetooth speaker connected to my cell phone, I can see the remaining charge in the portable speaker displayed on my cell phone. I have also been able to connect the Bluetooth speaker to my desktop computer and also to an Android table and an Ipad Mini.I have been able to listen to music while working on my truck in the garage thru my cell phone, watch movies on my table and not have to listen to the table's tiny speakers. It's not stereo, but it's definitely good enough for me.For my first Bluetooth speaker, I'm impressed. I've been using it for several days now and still have plenty of battery like left. Easy to give this one five stars

I love them! Very good quality, fully satisfying sound. Easy Bluetooth and TWS pairing. Powerful and high quality. Little bit heavy, but quite normal because the speaker is full of electronics and battery inside. I really liked them. Bass sound, could be slightly better, but still enough. They are definetely worth to purchase. Thank you.

This speaker is a MUST HAVE! Excellent sound quality AND it has TWO equalizer settings (indoor and outdoor!)It's heavy and is made out of a durable material, so it seems. It was priced very competitively, as well.

This speaker has quite a thick sound. Bass is strong, rumble is enhanced compared to your typical speaker. The mids are lost and muddy due to the heavy emphasis on bass, and the highs are pretty clear until you reach about 90% volume. The indoor setting is much more balanced and usable than the outdoor setting. The outdoor setting to my ears sound like a very very exaggerated v shape. You lose almost all mids. From about 10 feet away you can make out the song but when close up the highs sound harsh and the bass covers up any tonality of the song. This is when using it via Bluetooth to my iPhone 15 pro max.I got this speaker to pair with my Roland SP404 MKII, as it’s getting harder and harder to find a travel speaker with an aux input. I use it mono which is what it’s designed for, there is very little delay so it’s playable and usable in this way. With the portability of this speaker I can now make beats anywhere and everywhere.I took a star off as the tuning of the speaker is pretty exaggerated but overall it works for my needs and it has an aux input. For the price with current 20% off promotion it’s a good buy as there isn’t any other speaker that’s current at this price point that has an aux input and as loud as this one.

The build quality is actually very solid on this unit. Sound quality is what I call "good". Definitely not garbage like many out there. It's wrapped in a heavy rubber casing that makes it feel indestructible. The battery life has been as advertised, it connects quickly and dependably.If I compare this to our JBL flip, (Which is about the same size.) it's no contest. The JBL wins every category hands down. But that's a really high bar. If the JBL is a 10, I would say this is a solid 7, maybe even an 8.Update: I've been playing this more and more and now that it's broken in, it's come alive. I'm changing my review to 5 stars and if the JBL Flip is a 10 this is solid 9. It's just as loud as the JBL maybe even a little louder actually but the JBL is just a little cleaner and clearer but I'm seriously splitting hairs and listening with a critical ear. Where the JBL wins for sure is the size and portability. This unit is small, but the JBL packs a *little* bit more into an even smaller package. However, the JBL is 3 times the price at least so keep that in mind.I also did a little research and some more sleuthing as I'm an audio enthusiast. I build my own speakers, used to work pro sound etc. I'm 99% sure this uses the same driver as the BOSE Soundlink Flex. What it does better than the BOSE is add a tweeter and more internal volume. (That = more/better bass.)Yeah, this is a nice unit especially for the price. My wife is taking it for her classroom to use for "dance parties". She teaches 2nd grade. 😁

Bought it as a gift. Recipient loved it. Speaker sound was very clear and powerful.

Awesome speaker! Strong bass response, which I need as a musician who learns lots of material by ear

This is a nice speaker for the price, with some limitations. There are no separate bass, treble, or midrange controls. Instead there are only 2 equalization profiles: one they call “indoors”, the other “outdoors”. I can’t do fancy tests of the frequency response profile, but neither of them seem to represent a flat equalization. The indoor profile seems fairly natural to me with the exception that the frequency range of roughly the human voice is a notch louder than for a flat frequency response. The bass is good for this sized speaker. The outdoor profile seems similar, but pushes out the vocal range even further and also pushes the bass. I prefer a flat response but I can live with the indoor profile. Blue tooth pairing is easy. One bigger problem is that the volume increments are too large. one is a little to loud and the next one down is a little too soft. The rubber-like coating smells a bit, but only when close up. I didn’t test the water-resistance. I would probably give it 3 and a half stars if that were possible.

I use the "GearIT Portable Bluetooth Speakers Wireless - IPX6 Water-Resistant Speakers - 40W Loud Wireless Bluetooth Speaker - 5.3 Bluetooth, AUX, Power Bank, & TWS Pairing - Perfect for Gift/Outdoor/Home/Party" primarily for my workout entertainment. It's really pretty good for that small of a speaker. Like almost all compact sound systems, it is deficient on mid-range presence but is better than most others of similar price point that I have heard. I hear a bit of sibilance that would bother me more if I used it as a primary av/stereo audio system but it's more than good enough for 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer or picnicking by the creek on our property! RECCOMENDED!👍👍👍👍

bulky and heavy but great sound. Lights are hard to see. Crashes a lot. Tiny "buttons" that hurt to push. volume either soft , loud or very loud with nothing in between.

Great sound from these and very easy to pair. Very happy with these!

These speakers have a great sound and impressive bass. Simple to use and so far so good when it comes to toughness. You can also hook two together for stereo goodness.I would say wait until they are on sale at least 10% off because just buy 2. They are great when linked up and if not you can always give one as a gift and that person will definitely appreciate it.One star off just because 5 stars is a high bar lol but these are still great for the money.

The GEARit speaker works well.The 40 watts and price is why I bought this. Sound is as good as my jbl flip. I may get another to pair. Still less than jbl. I still am a jbl fan.

Great bass, and I really like having a switch for indoor and outdoor use. Outdoor is louder, and indoor is softer.

Great speaker for the money

I needed a small Bluetooth speaker for my garage. Didn't want anything big. This was just what I was looking for. It puts out a lot of good sound for its size! I keep it on its lowest and it still loud lol! Definitely a good loud little speaker.
