GEARit marine wire uses tinned copper conductors and a marine-grade PVC jacket to hold up to saltwater, moisture and UV on boats, RVs, trailers and outdoor installs. Choose your gauge (6 to 16 AWG), single conductor or 2-conductor duplex, and a 20, 50, 100 or 200 ft spool.
| 6 AWG | 1 conductor: 50, 100 ft · 2 conductor: 50, 100 ft |
| 8 AWG | 1 conductor: 50, 100, 200 ft · 2 conductor: 50, 100, 200 ft |
| 10 AWG | 2 conductor: 50 ft |
| 12 AWG | 2 conductor: 20, 50, 100, 200 ft |
| 14 AWG | 2 conductor: 20, 50, 100, 200 ft |
| 16 AWG | 2 conductor: 20, 50, 100, 200 ft |
| Conductor | Tinned copper |
| Voltage rating | 600V (CL3) |
| Temperature rating | 105°C dry / 75°C wet |
| Jacket | Marine-grade PVC, white |
Confirm the correct gauge for your load and run length, and follow ABYC and local electrical code. Permanent installations should be completed by a qualified installer.
Built to Resist Corrosion
Tin-plated copper conductors resist the oxidation and green corrosion that bare copper and CCA wire suffer in salt air and damp bilges, so connections stay clean and conductive season after season.
Saltwater, UV & Oil Resistant
A durable PVC jacket protects against saltwater, moisture, UV, oil and abrasion. Rated 600V with temperature tolerance up to 105°C (221°F) dry and 75°C (167°F) wet for exposed boat and outdoor runs.
Marine & Outdoor Applications
Use it for boat speakers and marine audio, navigation and underwater lights, RV and trailer wiring, patio and landscape speakers, outdoor lighting and other exposed wiring projects.
Choose 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 or 16 AWG in single-conductor or 2-conductor duplex, in 20, 50, 100 and 200 ft spools.
A flexible jacket bends easily through hulls, panels and tight spaces, making clean installs faster for boat audio and electrical runs.
Well worth the price. Exactly as advertised and what I needed. You will be getting all .my future business. Thank you!
This is great wire. The outer sheathing is very strong and the quality of the wire itself is very good. Surprisingly flexible and easy to pull. I have run literally hundreds of feet of this all over my boat for lighting, speakers and power for bilge pump, etc. No complaints whatsoever. Super good!
I'm an electrical contractor and do a lot of boat docks, I warranty my work. The best way to make it last it to use heat shrink connectors and tinned copper wire.
Compared with a real 14 gauge is a little small size
Dang, good inexpensive wire sure is hard to get! When I saw this at a great price, I had to add it to cart and it's on its way! Hmm, is it too good to be true? YES!! This wire is undersized!!! 28% less ampacity! How did I figure this out you ask? Measurements.. Diameter of STRANDED wire is not a good way to check the AWG of wire as the diameter will change depending on the strand count!! IE. 10 gauge stranded wire will have a larger diameter vs solid copper! However, the WEIGHT of the wire will NOT change!! 10 gauge bare copper wire weighs 0.031 LBS per foot, or 14 grams. This wire weights 9.1, NINE grams!! That's right in line with 12 gauge wire. 12 gauge wire is 0.020 lbs per foot, or 9.07 grams!! The sheathing is clearly marked with a UL number and an 10 AWG rating too!! This would fool anyone that doesn't go "hmmmmm". Us buyers already have enough to worry about with that CCA plated aluminum junk, now add undersized wire to the list! Insult to injury, it's not a good price at the actual wire gauge either!! Their 250' spool of "12" awg is also undersized.. See the photos for 12" bare wire weight, UL & awg printing on the wire sheath, and a comparison to REAL Anchor 10 awg wire. We'll see what the manufacture wants to do..
Buyer beware. We puchased this about 6 months ago to use as wiring to our portable solar panel. I liked the idea of a sheathed set of wiring and it looked like decent wire. We added our connectors and within a few months we noticed the sheathing cracking. We recut the cable and replaced. It's now happened again. We had to temporarily electrical tape until we could get more connectors. Disappointed the sheathing is splitting so quickly. Check your cables before plugging in, since it can short. We will be replacing with a different cable. Fyi, we have significant experience in wiring 12v systems and are confident that we did not cut these ourselves. (Update) seller did contact me and offered to replace the wiring. While this was a kind gesture, i have chosen to use another brand for wire.
50' of white cable arrived with a UL label placed on a paper describing a 100' roll of black cable that had a sticker placed over top of it for 50' of white. A search of UL's Product IQ for the file number listed True Link Industrial, LTD in Hong Kong as the manufacturer. The cable lacks the supple outer sheath and corresponding flexibility of marine cable. The insulation on the conductors is hard and tough at room temperature. For what I bought this for, it's useless and I certainly wouldn't use it for power on a boat.
Used this wire to rewire all four speakers in our boat. The cable was easy to work with, stripped cleanly, and the tinned copper conductors were a plus for a marine installation. No complaints about the quality or performance so far. Seems like a good product at a reasonable price.
It came on time. Package was broken, goods are ok.
Good wire at a great price
Just did the install, perfect wire for my boat and set up. Highly recommend
Made very well ! Looks like it will hold up very well in any environment. Including the hull of a boat used in saltwater.
Does the job
Cables were good as expected
Muy buen cable, bien protegido para la interperie.
Great project
second time I have used this brand on my wakeboat. It works :)
Exactly as expected.
16awg - good wire in a very nice casing / sheath. Flexible, yet strong. Feet markers also printed on the casing makes it even more useful (although there's a lot of stuff printed on the casing, the feet markers could have been larger to make them easier to find). Overall -- I'm very pleased with the quality of this wire and would highly recommend. Good job Gearit.
Just received it after several days of ordering it. I have not installed the stereo yet, don’t know how the wiring works.
Audio canle conforms to marine standards
Perfect! As described it works great with my outdoor speakers. Easy to use. Fast shipping.
Just what I needed to wireless the new boat
Worked great running new wire to my 8 boat speakers.
